Let’s Close The Border Patrol Checkpoint on Arivaca Road!
Where: Arivaca Road Checkpoint in Amado
When: Gather at Checkpoint at 10:00am
There will be carpool vans leaving from Tucson and Arivaca. Call for info. 520-398-3093

Come join the Arivaca community to hear locals and experts share their experience and knowledge about inland checkpoints, and the negative impacts of border militarization on border communities. We plan to sit-in at the checkpoint after the hearing in order to keep it closed for a portion of the day. Bring water, snacks, and a hat.
This action is part of the Border Communities Day Of Action For Demilitarization. There will be actions on the same day in Bisbee, Patagonia, Ajo, Tohono O’odham Nation, BP Checkpoint on 286 north of Sasabe, and a few others in and around around Arizona.www.bordercommunityaction.org
